Business Audit Checklist

  1. Split the business environment into areas
    • Assign STF responsibility for each area
  1. Conduct an area review with each area STF manager. Use Checklist
    • Fix immediate hazards and discuss potential re-occurring hazards
    • Develop a training program for avoiding re-occurring hazards
    • Add program to employee handbook
  1. Create slip, trip and fall logging program
  2. Set up scheduled communication program to remind staff about fall prevention
    • Include regular memo about STF successes and failures
    • List safest work areas (can include # of days since last fall)
    • Discuss any falls that occurred and how they could have been avoided
  1. Post STF factoids in a highly visible area of the workplace
